About No One Listens to Laura
My Story
Hello Friends,
I am Laura Masters! I am the creator and writer of No One Listens to Laura, a blog where I share my experiences and knowledge on mental health, and where we can all come together to be heard and understood.
At age 9, I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and at age 15, I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Chronic Panic Attacks and an Eating Disorder. Despite these challenges, I’ve learned to navigate this world with resilience.
Over the last 5 years I have been very open about my mental health struggles to help raise awareness/end the stigma around mental health and help people around me who are also struggling. Now I am taking to the blogosphere to share my experiences and knowledge on mental health on a larger scale. You can expect a mix of personal stories, advice, and resources on various mental health topics. Welcome to my blog. I am so glad you’re here!
Follow me on social media so you don’t miss a thing! And remember to leave a comment or share your own experiences. Your voice matters here.
P.S. I’m Proud of You 😉
Since I don’t let my mental health define me, here is a little about what makes me: I love dancing, doodling, traveling, movies, baking, helping others, writing, and listening to music. I am not currently in full-time school, but taking some courses at my local community college. One of which was a writing course that led me to the idea of starting a blog.
Connecting with people is something I deeply cherish. This blog is a safe and nurturing space I created for all to learn, grow, and support one another through life’s challenges. I hope that I can bring positivity and kindness to the world with all I do.
Through my struggles, I have learned so much about mental health, and now I want to use it for good. My goal in writing this blog is to create a community where people who are struggling can feel less alone. I also want to help end the stigma around mental health, empower people to learn about mental health and help people to better navigate their mental health.
