The Ultimate Activities to take advantage of the rest of Summer

Hello Friends,

As I have mentioned before, I am not a summer girl, and although I would love to dive into fall now that it’s August, I am trying to make the most of the last bits of summer before it is gone. (If you want to read more about how I am working on being happy in the moment I am in, you can read my post on this topic here.) So I thought I would share my list of last-minute summer things to soak up in case you are looking to do the same.

  1. Dip my feet in a body of water. I have not swam once this summer. Which is so sad to me because I love swimming so obviously that had to be added to my list. I mean, it isn’t summer until you have swam right!?!
  2. Watch a sunrise and sunset in a new spot. I have enjoyed plenty of pretty skies this summer. However, I want to find a new spot to do so before summer says goodbye.
  3. Bake with seasonal August fruits (peaches, plums, blackberries, raspberries, etc.) These aren’t fruits I have ever baked with, so I am excited to experiment with them while they are in season.
  4. Try something new from my local farmers’ market. I go to the market a couple of times a month, but there are still so many vendors I have not tried. So, no better time than the present, right?
  5. Sit outside and reflect on summer so far. Gotta soak in the sun while it’s here, so might as well take my journal outside!
  6. Summer send-off picnic. I saw this on TikTok the other day and thought it was such a cute idea. I may just make it a new tradition!
  7. Outdoor movie night. I have a projector and have been wanting to do one of these, so I am hoping putting it on this list will hold me accountable.
  8. Play a summer sport. If anyone is looking for a tennis partner…hit me up!

This may have veered into a list of things I have not completed off my summer bucket list with little end-of-summer twists. But, hey, anything goes right! Let me know your end-of-summer must-dos in the comments below, or join the conversation on social media!

Until next week, my friends!

P.S. I’m proud of you 😉
